London/Islamabad: Editor-in-Chief of the UK’s most widely published and multi-award-winning newspaper, Nawa-i-Waqt London, English newspaper Daily Dawn London and Director News Dawn TV and OKTV UK, Dr. Akhtar Gulfam, while giving an interview to Canadian Community TV, expressed his fear that Sheikh Waqas Akram will be disqualified from the National Assembly seat.
According to Dr. Akhtar Gulfam, the seat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Member of the National Assembly, Sheikh Waqas Akram, is also in danger. In this regard, a decision on the motion of PML-N member Nausheen Iftikhar is expected on August 11.
Pakistan Muslim League-N’s Member of the National Assembly Nausheen Iftikhar had moved a motion against PTI member Sheikh Waqas Akram. The motion, passed by the National Assembly, demanded that Sheikh Waqas’ seat be declared vacant. Meanwhile, the Speaker of the National Assembly had raised the issue of Sheikh Waqas Akram in the House due to his continuous absence.
