Sahiwal: District Administration Sahiwal continues to celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day in a dignified manner. Today, a bicycle rally was inaugurated from Sahiwal Mall Mandi Chowk, led by Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood, Additional Commissioner Niaz Ahmed Mughal, Assistant Commissioner Maham Wahid, Principal Medical College Professor Akhtar Malik, Professor Dr. Shahid MS Teaching Hospital and district officers including Director Information Aqeel Ashfaq, Divisional Sports Officer Nisar Ahmed, District Sports Officer Muhammad Amir, Secretary of Bicycle Association Sahiwal Division Rana Waheed, Dr. Rizwan, Superintendent Baldia Khalid Zia, DSP Traffic Khizr and a large number of journalists participated. The bicycle rally passed through Fateh Sher Road, College Road and ended at the DC Office Chowk. On this occasion, Commissioner Sahiwal, Dr. Asif Tufail and Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood said that the entire city has been decorated with green crescent flags, flags and attractive lights, while all government offices and important buildings have been illuminated with colorful electric lights by the national flag. Due to which the city presents a beautiful scene. A cultural show will be organized by the district administration on the night of August 13 and 14 at Faridiya Park, in which local singers will warm the blood of the people with national songs. At the end of which, a magnificent fireworks display will also be held. The main ceremony of Independence Day will be held at Jinnah Hall, where the flag will be hoisted in a dignified manner at 8 am. He appealed to the citizens to participate fully in the programs of August 14.
