Independence Day celebrations in Sahiwal, Principal Tauseef Ahmed, Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail and Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood started the tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling, distributing shields to the girls participating in the race

Sahiwal: Celebrations continue in Sahiwal on the occasion of Independence Day. The biggest event was held at the Commissioner’s Office. Punjab College Principal Tauseef Ahmed and children planted saplings, along with Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail and Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood, to start the tree plantation campaign. Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail has said that living nations celebrate their Independence Day with a renewal of the pledge that they will work together for the development, prosperity and tolerance of the country and will never allow anti-social elements to succeed in their unfulfilled goals. Journalists are the fourth pillar of the state, who are also the mirror of society. They should teach people to distinguish between truth and falsehood. Earlier, Commissioner Sahiwal and Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, along with Chairman Press Club Azizul Haq, President Rah Haq Welfare Foundation Mian Babar, Siddique Principal Punjab College Tauseef Ahmed, Sheikh Naeem Naveed Ghani, Tipu Sultan and other journalists also planted a sapling at Sahiwal Press Club as part of the freedom cake cutting and tree plantation campaign. In another event, a motorcycle race was organized by girls at Sahiwal University. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Sahiwal University Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood, Assistant Commissioner Maham Wahid, ADC Niaz Mughal, Director Public Relations Muhammad Aqeel Ashfaq, Pir Syed Asghar Ali Shah and others distributed shields among the girls participating in the race.
