Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Senator Azam Swati was once again stopped from traveling abroad at Peshawar Airport.
The petition in the Peshawar High Court stated that Senator Azam Khan Swati’s name is included in the PNIC list, after which the FIA has stopped him from traveling abroad at Peshawar Airport.
According to the petitioner’s lawyer, Azam Swati has been stopped despite court orders, on which he is filing a contempt of court petition in the Peshawar High Court.
It should be noted that yesterday, the Peshawar High Court had disposed of the case by accepting the petition to remove Senator Azam Swati’s name from the Exit Control List and Passport Control List.
During the hearing, the Assistant Attorney General had told the court that Azam Swati’s name is no longer included in any list and he is allowed to travel. To which the FIA representative also assured the court that the petitioners can now go abroad.
