Lahore: An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Farid Ahmed Tarar, to review the implementation of the directives of the 8th meeting of the National Task Force on Human Rights. In which the Secretary of Human Rights emphasized effective coordination at the provincial level, cooperation between departments and preparation of integrated and comprehensive proposals for the upcoming national meeting. He said that all the relevant departments should finalize their reports and recommendations promptly so that a unified provincial position can be presented at the national level.
During the meeting, the participating departments presented their latest progress and recommendations related to the promotion and protection of human rights. On this occasion, Secretary Farid Ahmed Tarar directed that in the upcoming meeting of the National Task Force, which will be chaired by the Federal Minister for Human Rights, all representatives should ensure their meaningful and effective participation and no shortcomings should be left in this regard.
The meeting was attended by the Additional IG Punjab, senior representatives from the Home Department, Industries, Labor, Social Welfare, Price Control, Women Development, Local Government and Community Development (LG&CD) Department.
