Sahiwal: Commissioner Sahiwal Dr. Asif Tufail reached Pakpattan on an emergency basis, a very low level flood in the Sutlej River, the administration on full alert
Dr. Asif Tufail has said that the protection of the affected people is the top priority, and all departments are active
Arrangements have been made for food, accommodation, treatment and fodder for cattle in the flood relief camps
No affected family will be left alone; every possible facility is being provided. 9 flood relief camps were established in Pakpattan tehsil and 4 in Arifwala tehsil. Medicines, food and medical facilities are available in the flood camps.
7 boating posts of Pakpattan Rescue 1122 are active, safe evacuation and transportation process is underway. So far, 600 people and more than 100 cattle from the riverine areas have been shifted to safe places.
Awareness is ongoing, instructions are being given to the public to shift to safe places in time, and announcements are being made from mosques. Commissioner Sahiwal, Dr. Asif Tufail and Deputy Commissioner Asif Raza inspected the riverine areas and relief camps.
