Sahiwal: Secretary Local Government Mian Shakeel Ahmed visits Sahiwal. Reviews ongoing development works under the PSAP program. He reviewed the progress of the water treatment plant and disposal station under construction on Muhammadpur Road. On this occasion, Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail, Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Shahid Mahmood, MD WASA Tanveer Qaiser, CEO Sahiwal Waste Management Company and Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Sheikh Ashfaq Ahmed were also present. Mr. Shi of the Chinese company gave a detailed briefing about the ongoing projects. Secretary Local Government Mian Shakeel Ahmed said that the ongoing development projects in the city are to improve public convenience and quality of life, the quality of which cannot be compromised, and both quality and speed are being closely monitored. The concerned departments and contractors should perform their responsibilities with full honesty, and the obstacles faced in completion should be removed immediately so that the citizens can get the fruits of these projects as soon as possible. He directed to speed up the pace of the ongoing development work. He further said that the number of laborers and machinery on the project should also be increased. He also visited various parts of ongoing development projects. Later, he also visited the office of the Sahiwal Waste Management Company. He took a briefing on the Clean Punjab Program at the tehsil, district and division levels and directed to improve the field performance.
