Faisalabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court Faisalabad acquitted 34 accused, including former federal ministers Fawad Chaudhry and Zain Qureshi, in the case. Zartaj Gul, Farah Agha, and Kanwal Shozab were also sentenced to 10 years each
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Faisalabad on May 9 sentenced 59 accused, including former Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Senate Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, to 10 years each in prison while delivering its verdict in the Rana Sanaullah house attack case.
On May 9, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Faisalabad heard the case of the attack on the house of Prime Minister’s Advisor Rana Sanaullah.
The ATC Faisalabad, while announcing the verdict in the attack on Rana Sanaullah’s house case, acquitted 34 accused, including former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry and Zain Qureshi, son of PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
The court sentenced former opposition leaders in the National Assembly and Senate, Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, as well as former federal minister Zartaj Gul, to 10 years in prison each.
The anti-terrorism court sentenced a total of 59 PTI leaders and workers to 10 years in prison each.
The court also sentenced PTI members of the provincial assembly from Faisalabad, Ismail Sila and Sheikh Shahid Javed, to 10 years in prison each.
Among those sentenced are Zartaj Gul, Farah Agha, Kanwal Shozab, Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, Rai Murtaza, Ansar Iqbal, Bilal Ijaz, Ashraf Sohna, Mehr Javed and Shakeel Niazi, who were also sentenced to 10 years in prison.
