Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to give a high civil award to Assistant Commissioner Pattoki Furqan Ahmed Khan, who died yesterday.

The Punjab government will also give a grant of Rs 1 crore to the heirs of Assistant Commissioners who died while performing their duties in the floods.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved the high civil award and Rs 1 crore for AC Furqan Ahmed.

Despite being a cancer patient, the Assistant Commissioner was continuously doing flood relief duty. The late Furqan Ahmed Khan was busy with the rescue and relief operation for the victims in the flood-hit area of ​​Pattoki.
