Sindh cabinet reshuffle: Local Government Department portfolio handed over to Nasir Hussain Shah

Karachi: There has been a reshuffle in the Sindh cabinet; the portfolio of the Local Government Department has been taken from PPP leader Saeed Ghani and handed over to Nasir Hussain Shah, while Saeed Ghani has been appointed Minister for Labor and Social Protection.

On Friday, a large-scale reshuffle was made in the Sindh cabinet, under which the portfolios of several ministers and advisors have been changed or new departments have been assigned.

The portfolio of Local Government has been taken away from Saeed Ghani, and he has been appointed Minister for Labor and Social Protection. On the contrary, Nasir Hussain Shah has been handed over the portfolio of the Local Government Department, while Syed Nasir Hussain Shah will now also be the Minister for Local Government along with Energy.

Shahid Thahim has been removed from the post of Minister of Labor and appointed as Minister of Health, while Jam Khan Shoro has been given the Planning and Development (P&D) department, putting more burden on him.

He has been made Minister of the Food Department after taking back the Relief Department from Makhdoom Mehboob, while Advisor Jabbar Khan has been appointed Advisor for Relief after taking back the Food Department.

Special Assistant Ali Rashid has been given the IT Department portfolio. Ismail Rahu has been appointed Provincial Minister and given the responsibility of the Universities and Boards Department. Sham Sundar Advani has also been appointed Special Assistant.

On the other hand, a swearing-in ceremony was held at the Governor’s House Karachi, where the new ministers of Sindh took the oath of their ministries.

Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori administered the oath to Ismail Rahu, while the swearing-in ceremony was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, provincial ministers and other guests.
