London: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that US President Donald Trump has assured him that he will fully cooperate with Pakistan in the economic and trade sectors.

Talking to journalists in London, the Prime Minister said that we met President Trump in Washington in a very pleasant atmosphere. Our relations with the US have become more stable over the past few months. We discussed trade and investment, oil and gas exploration, and investment in mines and minerals and other sectors.

He said that I told Donald Trump that we had a traditional war with India, which Pakistan won, and if you had not intervened in time and the matter had escalated, who knows what would have happened? That is why we nominated you for the Nobel Peace Prize, because you have also ended wars and conflicts between other countries. This is a great step for you. We pray that you succeed, and you will receive many prayers for the ceasefire in Gaza.

He said that we raised a strong voice for the freedom of Kashmir in the United Nations, defeated India in the battle for justice, and taught it a lesson that India will remember for the rest of its life. We spoke openly about Pakistan’s right to water.

Shahbaz Sharif said that with the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty and the prayers of 240 million people, Pakistan won the war from India, the way the brave soldiers of Pakistan demonstrated their professionalism and unwavering determination to defend the country under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and our soldiers proved by defending the country that Pakistan, which has nuclear power, has superiority in conventional and unconventional warfare.

He said that Field Marshal Asim Munir and I consult on every national and international issue and work with sincerity. If this harmony continues in the government and institutions in the future, Pakistan will emerge more in the world.

He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have had a brotherly relationship for decades, which we have formalized in the form of a defense agreement. The aim of this is that an attack on one side will be considered an attack on both, and the two countries will jointly formulate a plan of action and implement it. This was the long-standing desire of the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. It is the desire of every Muslim, and they are ready to die for the protection of Mecca and Medina.

The Prime Minister said that we have raised our voice in the United Nations and expressed solidarity with our Palestinian brothers. There were very promising discussions at the Arab-Islamic summit. I hope that the Gaza issue will be resolved very soon. Since 2023, the market for oppression has been hot in Gaza, where women and children are being martyred. There is no other such example of oppression in modern history.

He said that floods caused great destruction due to climate change. In 2022, Sindh was devastated by floods. This time, Punjab has witnessed devastation. The lives of more than a thousand citizens have become dear to God. Crops have been destroyed. We are facing a very critical situation. We are estimating the losses. Our morale is young. However, we will get out of this situation and move forward.

In response to a question, Shahbaz Sharif said that we are not involved in the race to gain power, we are active in eliminating poverty, unemployment, bringing prosperity to Pakistan through investment, agriculture, mines and minerals sectors, and if we provide modern training to our youth in AI, IT, agriculture, they will bring revolution, and that is our focus.
