London: Britain has banned “buy one get one free” promotions on unhealthy food items. The move is aimed at controlling the rising obesity rate in the country, especially among children.
According to the British government’s announcement, the ban will apply to large stores, supermarkets and online retail centers. In addition, free drink refill schemes in some restaurants and cafes will also be banned.
