Sahiwal: A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood to review the progress of ongoing development projects under the PESEP project. In which Project Director PESEP Umar Javed, MD WASA Tanveer Qaiser, Deputy Team Leader of Asian Development Bank, Ahmed Malik, Mahira Khan, and other relevant officers participated. The meeting reviewed the pace, quality and proposed timeline for completion of ongoing development works in the city in detail. Briefing the meeting, Project Director Umar Javed said that under the PESEP project, the northern system will be completed by October 30, while the southern system will be functional by the middle of next month, which includes modern ponds and disposal systems. Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood directed all departments to complete the ongoing projects on time and to high standards. He made it clear that no compromise will be tolerated on the quality of development works. Later, the Deputy Commissioner, along with the delegation and the PECAP team, inspected the sites of the Northern Disposal Center, GT Road and LBDC Park, where they took a detailed review of the ongoing work and expressed satisfaction over the overall progress. Project Director PECAP Umar Javed assured that the city is being provided with the best sewage and environment-friendly system.
