Karachi: A delegation of the Regional Union of Journalists Pakistan met with Abdul Waseem, Member Coordination Committee, Member Provincial Assembly Sindh and former MNA, at the temporary headquarters of MQM Pakistan in Bahadurabad. The delegation was led by Secretary General RUJ Pakistan Abid Hussain Mughal and Provincial President Sindh Adil Ali. During the meeting, the delegation informed Abdul Waseem in detail about the objectives of the Regional Union of Journalists Pakistan’s “Peshawar to Karachi Train March” and its background. On this occasion, Abdul Waseem appreciated the struggle of RUJ for the rights of journalists and said that regional journalists highlight the true face of the country; practical steps are necessary at all levels for their welfare. He expressed his determination that he would provide all possible support to solve the problems of the journalist community and support their legitimate demands. The delegation thanked Abdul Waseem and said that RUJ Pakistan’s train march is a historic step to strongly highlight the voice of journalists across the country.
