During the protest in Wazirabad and its surrounding areas, 20-foot-wide and 30-foot-deep trenches were dug on the River Chenab. The Gujranwala administration has dug trenches in Muridke, Kamunki, Chand Da Qila, Chenab Pul, Gujrat, Kharian and Sai Alamgir and blocked roads.
The regional administration has directed citizens not to make unnecessary trips. It has been suggested that people going from Mandi Bahauddin to Sialkot Airport use the Head Khankiwala route.
