Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have said that the blame for terrorism cannot be given to any single party or any single decision. They clarified that if a government is formed illegally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, they will not allow it to function.

During a press conference in Peshawar, PTI leaders Salman Akram Raja, Junaid Akbar and Asad Qaiser have clarified that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf stands with the martyrs of the nation, the state and the law and wants development and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the country.

PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said that an attempt is being made to stop the constitutional change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in an unconstitutional manner, and we are being intimidated in every way.

He said that we stand with those who sacrificed their lives for the country, we are against those who look at the country with a dirty eye, the chain of war and controversy must end.

He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been in turmoil for the past decade, the blame for terrorism cannot be given to any one party or decision, we should be told which terrorist has settled in the country.

He said that we want everyone to be taken along in every decision. Terrorism cannot be solved with arms and ammunition. A plan was presented in 2021, which was rejected by the government. A decision was made for negotiations in the National Security Council.

Salman Akram Raja said that terrorism was at its lowest level during the PTI era. We had good relations with Afghanistan 3 and a half years ago.

He said that we should not be accused of treason, we are all well-wishers of Pakistan, the change of the Chief Minister in the province is a new beginning, there is no competition with anyone, we are being asked for Governor’s rule.

He said that we will further improve governance in the province, but the situation has worsened after creating a vacuum.

Former Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, declared Sohail Afridi as the rightful heir to the Chief Ministership and warned that if a government is formed illegally, they will not let it function.

PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar said that Tehreek-e-Insaf will fully protect its government in the province, the mandate of the province is with our party, and it is a constitutional right to bring about change.

He said that the federation is trying to obstruct the change of the Chief Minister, the nominated Chief Minister is standing with Sohail Afridi, while other parties have been contacted, their attitude is also positive, and we will protect our vote.

He said that if the Chief Minister resigns, it is immediately accepted, after which it is the duty of the provincial assembly and the speaker to elect a new Chief Minister.

Junaid Akbar said that everyone should be taken into confidence in the decisions of the military operation, and a solution to terrorism should be found through negotiations.

He further said that if our 92 members vote against the party, we will narrow the ground, while the party and its founders cannot be weakened by losing our votes.

It should be noted that yesterday, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry had said during a press conference that terrorists and their facilitators were given space in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under a well-thought-out plan.

He said that governance and public welfare were deliberately weakened here, the consequences of which are still being suffered by the brave people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with their blood. There is no terrorism in Sindh and Punjab due to the establishment of governance.
