Lahore/Muridke: The police operation against the religious party’s march towards Islamabad in Muridke, Punjab province of Pakistan, has been completed after six hours.
According to the police, when the dispersal operation began, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan activists used stone-pelting, nail-studded sticks and petrol bombs. Later, they opened indiscriminate fire, resulting in casualties among civilians and law enforcement officials.
According to the official statement, 48 officials were injured in the firing by the protesters, of whom 17 were injured by bullets, while the SHO was killed.
