Sahiwal: On the instructions of District Police Officer Sahiwal Dr. Tahir Rehman Rana, a smog awareness walk was organized in Sahiwal city under the leadership of SSP Operation Safe City Fawad Ahmed, supervised by District Traffic Officer Sahiwal Mirza Tanveer Baig.
Officers of Traffic Police, Safe City Authority, P and other institutions participated in this walk. During the walk, citizens were informed about precautionary measures to prevent smog, use of masks, timely service of vehicles, avoidance of vehicles emitting smoke, helmets, side view mirrors and lane lines.
On this occasion, effective monitoring of traffic rules with the help of Safe City cameras, automatic challan system for violation, and the role of Safe City in improving law and order in the city were also highlighted.
Traffic Police Sahiwal appealed to citizens to obey traffic rules and play their positive role in preventing smog so that the dream of a safe, clean and prosperous Punjab can be realized.
