BBC is a “propaganda machine”, ‘100% fake news’, accuses US President Trump’s press secretary, Burris, in a scathing interview

Washington: Donald Trump’s top administration official, Caroline Levitt, has called the BBC a “propaganda machine” and “100% fake news”,

Levitt said watching BBC bulletins during UK visits ruins her day and that taxpayers are being forced to foot the bill for a left-wing propaganda machine. The comments came as MPs raised “serious questions” over edited clips of Trump’s speech.

A document has been revealed by the Telegraph that the BBC’s Panorama programme “completely misled” viewers by selectively editing parts of Trump’s speech. The program featured Trump telling the crowd to go to Capitol Hill and “fight like hell,” when in reality he urged them to “make their voices heard in a peaceful and patriotic way.”

The BBC said it did not comment on leaked documents, but Michael Prescott, a former adviser to the board committee, expressed concerns about the coverage. The document claimed there were discrepancies in coverage between BBC Arabic and the main website, and that staff presented “one-sided stories” on transgender issues.

The BBC says it takes all feedback seriously and considers it as usual, while Levitt argues that the BBC is deliberately distorting the facts.
