London: A discussion held at the William Morris Gallery on the 150th birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal

London: A discussion was held at the William Morris Gallery in London on the 150th birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal. It was organized by Dr. Rashid Akhtar, the spiritual leader of the Pak Cultural Society, Raja Ilyas, General Secretary of Ghausia Masjid, Lebridge Road, Walthamstow, and Qaiser Mahmood, the founder of Majlis Iqbal, London.
The special guest of the event was Irfan Ashraf Qazi, Press Attaché of the Pakistan High Commission. Raja Ilyas presided over the function while Mian Saeed was the guest of honour. Haji Bostan Khan recited the Kalam of Iqbal along with Tarnam. Raja Muhammad Ilyas delivered the welcome address. Professor Shahid Iqbal, Muhammad Jahangir, Aslam Chughtai, Aslam Rashid and Tariq Mahmood presented poems related to Iqbalism. Dr Rashid Akhtar and Qaiser Mahmood read the dialogues. The special guest, Irfan Ashraf Qazi, delivered the presidential address. Allama Iqbal’s birthday cake was also cut on the occasion. The guests were treated to tea, biscuits and cake.
