Sahiwal: Expired cold drinks were found in the canteen of Sahiwal Teaching Hospital. Milk also turned out to be harmful to health. Fine imposed. According to the details, for a long time, prices higher than the government rates for various items have been charged in the canteen of Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, Sahiwal, and food and drink items are being sold in poor quality. The Food Authority raided the canteen and recovered expired cold drinks, as well as unhealthy milk sold for making tea and for patients’ consumption. The Food Authority imposed fines of 25,000 and 15,000, respectively. Citizens claim that this action has been taken solely for the benefit of Khanapuri. Neither the canteen was sealed, nor any further action was taken. On a daily basis, patients, their relatives, and citizens are seen complaining about the canteen, but the officers do not touch it. Citizens have demanded that the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Secretary Health and Commissioner Sahiwal take immediate notice.
