Oxford: The Association of International Lawyers (AIL) Annual Law Conference 2025 was successfully held at the University of Oxford, specifically at Keble College, in the HB Allen Center, with eminent legal experts, lawyers, and scholars from around the world in attendance.
The conference discussed in detail the contemporary global legal issues and challenges faced, including fundamental human rights, women’s empowerment, legal aspects of artificial intelligence, and legal challenges related to the environment and climate change.
The conference was chaired by Nadeem Tas, President, Association of International Lawyers (Global), while Ms. Solomia Baranits, former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, attended as a special guest.
The conference was moderated by Ms. Faryal Rind and Ms. Fawzia Azeem in a very pleasant and professional manner as compères.
In his presidential address, Mr. Nadeem Tas said,
“The protection of human rights of every human being in the world is indispensable, and all individuals should be treated equally without discrimination. These are the universal principles that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught to humanity, which even today provide guidance for justice, equality and human dignity.”
He further said that it is the responsibility of international law and international institutions to give practical form to these principles so that a just and peaceful world order can be established.
The speakers at the conference included Mr. Saeed Ahmed Hashmi, Ms. Mangala Padmini Hetty Arachchi, Mr. Mahmoor Ashraf Chaudhry, Mr. Shoaib Saeed Mughal, Barrister Rashid Aslam, Mr. Chaudhry Ansar Mahmood, Barrister Abdul Haseeb Khan, Mr. Qamar Bilal Hashmi, Barrister Abdul Basit Javed, Mr. Malik Sabtain Munaf Awan, Ayub Ghilzai, Dr. Shahid Rizwan, and Mr. Chaudhry Zaheer Akram Goraya. At the end of the conference, the participants reiterated their commitment to the rule of law, protection of human rights, equality, modern legal reforms, and promotion of international legal cooperation.
