Sahiwal: District Police Officer Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu has said that not only are the problems and difficulties of the accused appearing in the open court being resolved, but after the open court, follow-up is done with the concerned police officers and they are asked about the amelioration of the accused and departmental punishment is also given to the police officers who do not implement the orders. He was talking to a delegation of Sahiwal Press Club Registered, Sahiwal, here in his office. On this occasion, Chairman Sahiwal Press Club Hafiz Waheed Ahmad, newly elected Senior Vice President Rai Naveed Ahmed Kharal, Finance Secretary Chaudhry Najeeb Ahmed, Mian Umar Manzoor, former President Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, Chaudhry Rashid Akmal, Iftikhar Khan, Mehr Muhammad Abbas, Shafiq Butt, Mirza Khalid Nadeem, Tahir Rizwan, Malik Asif Nawaz Awan, Shafqat Baghela, Alamdar Zaidi, Haris Shah Gilani and other journalists were also present. He said that 150 mobile phones snatched and stolen in the incidents have been recovered through modern investigation methods, which have been handed over to the affected persons. He said that the punishment system in the order room is very important, due to which the performance of officers and officials will improve. He said that in December 2025, about 30 gangs of robbers were arrested, stolen property worth crores of rupees was recovered from them and handed over to the victims, while officers with good performance were rewarded, and officers with poor performance were punished and warned.
