Islamabad: The leftist party Huqoq Khalq Party has announced its regular participation in the Constitution Protection Movement protest. This announcement was made in a press conference with Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Chief Raja Nasir Abbas and Pakistan Awam Party Central Leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar. They said that we have become part of this movement for the protection of the Constitution, the stability of democracy and the integrity of the country.
Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that they will talk to everyone, including Sindh, and will go everywhere, but the PPP will have to apologize for the role it played in the constitutional amendment, and history should forgive Nawaz Sharif. We will protest peacefully on February 8. Later, while talking to “Ummat”, when Dr. Amarjan, Secretary General of Huqoq Khalq Party, was asked how the party whose policies the workers have been protesting against has now stood with the same party and whether will they become fuel in tough situations in place of PTI workers? He said that we can make any sacrifice to protect the constitution, the constitution is important, and we can go to jail for it, as far as the party against which we have been protesting, the workers are ready to stand with the party and become fuel for the hell of the streets, police stations and courts. We have had detailed discussions with the leadership of PTI and the Movement for the Protection of the Constitution, in which a guarantee has been given to uphold all constitutional rights and the rights of workers. As far as staying on the commitment is concerned, we are staying on our commitment and expect the same from others.
Dr. Ammar further said that what rights our workers have been able to achieve before, there is already a prison-like situation; we believe that our workers will walk with PTI and will face difficulties. We will fully support them on February 8.
It should be remembered that the Huqoq-e-Khalq Party has become an ally of PTI for the first time since its establishment. Its workers were allies of PTI in the lawyers’ movement before the party was announced, but later they became disillusioned and faced difficulties due to differences in policies. Now PTI has found new workers for mobilization on the streets and streets on the platform of the Movement for the Protection of the Constitution. However, it is not yet clear at the level of workers whether they will take up the problems themselves instead of PTI workers or remain limited. However, Muzammil Kakar, a leader of the student group, says that our colleagues and we have not forgotten the atrocities on students in universities and colleges during the PTI’s rule, the sufferings and difficulties, such as registration of cases and all these issues have been discussed in detail. We will move forward with our ideological identity and thinking, will not follow PTI, and will work as an ally on its agenda according to its methods. We will do our part. Other parties including PTI will do their part according to their methods. Our path is of non-violence and dialogue.
