Multan, Borewala: Despite the canal water being closed for more than a month, water has not been released in the PI Link Canal. This time, farmers are protesting in full swing. According to local journalist Asif Ali, the residents of the area have faced severe difficulties due to the lack of water in the PI Link Canal. The lack of release of canal water is giving rise to many problems that the residents of the area are facing. Obtaining water through petrol engines or other means, which require very expensive petroleum products, is not a matter for the residents of the area.
The residents of the area benefit from this link canal, which joins the Sutlej River through Pakpattan, in different ways. The residents living in the vicinity of this dry canal are demanding the water department to release water in the PI Link Canal.
