Chaghi: Unidentified militants have attacked a copper and gold mining project in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, killing ten people, including employees of a private company. Officials say a foreign national is among the dead. The attack was carried out at the mining site of National Resources Limited (NRL) in the Darigoon area, about 120 km from Dalbandin, the district headquarters of Chaghi. According to reports, more than 40 armed men riding motorcycles and vehicles attacked the site from different directions. In addition to using small arms, they also fired rocket shells. According to the French news agency AFP, a local administrative officer confirmed that ten people were killed in the attack, including seven workers and three security personnel. According to the administrative officer, there are unconfirmed reports that armed men have also taken some employees hostage.
