London: A new debate has erupted on social media after a video of Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi arguing with PTI workers in London went viral. Harsh words were exchanged between the parties during the incident.
In the video circulating on social media, Allama Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi is surrounded by a few people and is being questioned about the political situation in Pakistan. Although the conversation started with a question and answer session, the tone of the parties soon turned bitter.
The people who asked the questions are said to be from PTI, who appeared unhappy with Allama Ashrafi’s political narrative and past stance. The video shows that Allama Tahir Ashrafi also responded strongly to their allegations and questions, which made the situation quite tense.
Allama Tahir Ashrafi’s supporters say that it is morally and legally wrong to harass any figure in a public place in this way.
