Pakistan High Commission London hosts an evening with Professor Salima Hashmi

London: The Pakistan High Commission London, in collaboration with ISP Events, organized a fascinating conversation with Professor Salima Hashmi, daughter of renowned Pakistani painter and poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

The conversation was hosted by renowned artist and writer Meera Hashmi.

The event was attended by Pakistanis living in the UK, art enthusiasts, admirers of Faiz Ahmed Faiz, and representatives of the Pakistan High Commission.

The conversation highlighted Professor Salima Hashmi’s upbringing, artistic journey, association with theatre and her contributions to arts education.

Professor Salima Hashmi spoke about the influence of her father Faiz Ahmed Faiz and mother Alice Faiz on her childhood, her dedication to the arts, and the achievements and talents of Pakistani artists globally.

He also thanked the Pakistan High Commission for organizing and supporting the event.

In his closing remarks, Acting High Commissioner Haseeb Bin Aziz thanked Professor Salima Hashmi. He also appreciated the support of ISP Events.

While Faisal Shaukat (In charge of ISP Events) and Meera Hashmi also spoke.
