London: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with the UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Hamish Faulkner, at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in London.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen cooperation in various fields, including political, economic, environmental and people-to-people contacts.
The regional situation and global affairs were also discussed during the meeting of the two leaders.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to economic reforms and presented Pakistan’s position on the regional situation, including peace and stability in South Asia.
He stressed the need for a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, by relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The two leaders appreciated the positive development in Pakistan-UK relations and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
They also stressed the need to continue high-level contacts to build on the current momentum and explore new opportunities for strategic cooperation.
