London: Journalists in Britain gathered in central London to express solidarity with their colleagues in Gaza, the backdrop of which is the two air strikes by the Israeli army earlier this week, in which five journalists were killed.

Members of the UK’s National Union of Journalists protested outside Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s residence and Downing Street office. They demanded that the government take effective measures to protect media workers and hold those responsible for these attacks accountable.
After the demonstration, participants held a memorial ceremony, in which the names of more than 200 journalists were read aloud, who, according to journalism watchdog organizations, have been killed in Gaza during Israeli military operations since October 7, 2023.
