London: Cambridge Education System, officially known as Cambridge International Education, is a globally recognized educational pathway and framework for schools around the world, which creates and conducts examinations under a curriculum for students from early years to pre-university level. It is part of the University of Cambridge in the UK.
Cambridge International Education says it is launching digital exams in a few selected subjects in the exams to be held in June next year, and Pakistan will be among the first countries to participate.
This was stated by Peter Phillips, Chief Executive, Cambridge University Press and Assessment.
“We are working hard to ensure that our exams reflect the emerging digital landscape. For example, in June 2026, we will launch Cambridge Digital Exams in selected subjects. Pakistan will be one of the first countries to participate,” he said.
“Digital exams are not about replacing paper with screens. They will be more interactive, more timely, and more aligned with the ways students already learn.”
Students will be able to take multiple-choice questions on laptops in the Cambridge International AS English General Paper and Cambridge IGCSE Accounting, Economics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics subjects.
