London: The OPF ceremony in honor of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was held at the very expensive, five-star hotel JW Marriott Grosvenor House in Park Lane, Central London.
When Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived to attend and address the ceremony, overseas Pakistanis staged a fierce protest. The police personnel controlled the people, but had to stop traffic.
On one side of the hotel road, there were a large number of overseas Pakistanis, PTI workers and supporters. While on the other side of the road, there were workers of the two major parties in the government, the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the People’s Party (PPP). Their number was much less than that of overseas Pakistanis, PTI workers and supporters. Slogans were being raised from both sides, in which personal attacks were being made on each other’s leadership. On which the workers from both sides got angry and got into a fight. Before the clash between PTI and PMLN workers turned into a major accident, a large number of police present there separated them. Earlier, a large number of PTI workers and supporters also demonstrated in front of the Pakistan High Commission.
