Secretary of Human Rights and Minority Affairs Punjab, Farid Ahmed Tarar chairs an important meeting on CM Punjab Minority Card Program

Lahore: Secretary of Human Rights and Minority Affairs Punjab, Farid Ahmed Tarar, chaired an important meeting on the progress and implementation of the Chief Minister Punjab Minority Card Program at his camp office.
The Bank of Punjab gave a detailed briefing on the latest data related to the distribution of cards during the meeting.
Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) presented a detailed update on the digital dashboard and data management system of the Minority Card Program. Through this system, the process of screening eligible families, issuance of cards and redressal of complaints is being monitored in real-time.
Representatives of NADRA, BISP, PSPA and other institutions highlighted their respective performance and explained how they are ensuring the success of the program through identification of deserving minority families, harmonization of socio-economic indicators, and effective targeting.
In his address, Secretary Farid Ahmed Tarar stressed the importance of institutional coordination and timely data sharing and directed all the concerned departments to further expedite their respective processes, maintain transparency and ensure accuracy in reporting and service delivery.

He informed that the number of families benefiting from this program has been increased from 50,000 to 75,000, while the budget of the program has also been increased to Rs 3.5 billion, which is a historic step towards the welfare of minorities of Punjab.

The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary Ms. Rizwana Naveed, Deputy Secretary Minority Affairs Ms. Ayesha Yasin, representatives of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), Bank of Punjab, Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA), NADRA, Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) and other relevant institutions.
