Islamabad: The Supreme Court heard the petition against the auction of Bahria Town properties, and the bench headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi excused itself from hearing the petition.
The Chief Justice, while sending the petition against the auction of Bahria Town properties to the old bench, remarked that it would be appropriate for the old bench to hear the case.
A 3-member bench headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi heard the petitions against the auction of Bahria Town properties, and the bench included Justice Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb.
Bahria Town’s lawyer, Farooq H. Naik, appeared in court during the hearing, but the bench excused itself from hearing the case.
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi remarked that it would be appropriate for the old bench to hear the case.
