Kech: In the Kech district of Balochistan, unknown men opened fire and killed Mufti Shah Mir Bizenjo, a local leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.

According to Turbat Police Control, the firing incident took place on Friday night in a mosque in Malikabad area of ​​Turbat, the district headquarters of Kech.

According to the police, ‘Unknown armed men attacked Mufti Shah Mir Bizenjo while he was offering Taraweeh prayers in the mosque.’

Eyewitnesses told the police, ‘Mufti Shah Mir Imam was standing in the first row behind the mosque when unknown men came and fired at him.’

‘He fell seriously injured, while the Imam was also injured. After the firing, a stampede broke out in the mosque. The injured were rushed to the hospital. The administration of the Government Teaching Hospital in Turbat said that Mufti Shah Mir was hit by two bullets in the head and jaw, which proved fatal. According to the police, the accused managed to escape after the firing. Mufti Shah Mir was a well-known religious scholar in Turbat and its surrounding areas. He was also the Secretary General of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Turbat.
