London/Bradford: Britain also has a large number of Muslims who, like Muslims around the world, celebrate the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr with religious traditions and enthusiasm.

Something new is going to happen on the occasion of Eid in the UK this year, which has never been done before in the history of Britain. This year, the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC will broadcast special Eid prayers live for the first time on Eid, which will be a new milestone in the history of British television.

According to the report, these programs titled Eid Live and Celebrity Eid will be broadcast from Bradford, which is also the UK’s City of Culture this year and has also been the filming location for the BBC’s new thriller Uniform.

Eid Live will be hosted by Jason Mohammed and will be the first time a programme has been broadcast live from a mosque on UK terrestrial channels.

The special broadcast will take place on the morning of Shawwal (Eid al-Fitr) next month from Bradford Central Mosque, where around 1,500 worshippers will attend the service. Two hosts will be present outside the mosque, while various guests will also be part of the programme.

A Celebrity Eid programme will also be broadcast on the same day, bringing together prominent Muslim and non-Muslim personalities to celebrate Eid.
