London: Britain has announced a new visa policy and introduced a new system for travelers.
From March 11, 2025, new visa requirements have been announced as part of measures to further strengthen and strengthen the UK’s border system and prevent the entry of illegal immigrants, which will affect travelers from various countries. The recent changes mainly include the introduction of the Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) system and adjustments to visa policies.
The UK has implemented the ETA system for pre-screening travelers from visa-exempt countries before their arrival, which will be electronically linked to the travelers’ passports, which will be valid and enforceable for a period of two years or until the passport expires. The implementation of the new system has caused difficulties for travelers from various countries because they did not previously need a visa or permission to enter.
Residents of the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, Israel, the Caribbean, Europe and various countries in the Pacific will now have to follow the new procedure. They will be required to apply for an ETA before traveling to the UK. Travelers will have to apply for an ETA online or through a mobile app with a passport, a digital recent photo and a £10 fee, while the application will be processed within a few days.
