Won by two to one!

Press Release

London: Major (R)Adil Raja said that I am pleased to announce that during today’s hearing at the Royal Court of Justice in London, the judge ruled in favor of my application for allowing my witnesses to attend the trial remotely in the case brought against me by a senior official from the ISI. The judge also rejected the claimant’s request for costs related to the withdrawal of an anonymous witness, a serving senior officer of the Pakistani Army, due to concerns for his safety.

However, the judge did grant a third request from the ISI official’s legal team to award costs related to a debarment application against me, even though I have already paid the pending court costs. In the upcoming pre-trial hearing, we will determine the costs to be borne by the ISI official for the first two applications. Meanwhile, I have been ordered to pay the application cost of £6,100 related to the third count within the next 14 days.

Your support has been invaluable in my fight against the oppressive tactics of the Pakistani regime and the ISI, particularly in a jurisdiction known for “libel tourism,” where Statutory Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP) are often used by oligarchs and authoritarian states to silence dissent.

The trial is scheduled for late July, and we remain hopeful for a favorable outcome with your continued support. This case is not just about me—it represents a stand for all voices of dissent against the military-led regime in Pakistan.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
