Lahore: Suddenly loud explosions were heard near Walton Old Airport on Thursday morning, which frightened the citizens.
According to DAWN sources, three explosions were heard one after the other in the areas adjacent to Walton. Although the nature of the explosions was not immediately known, the sounds were so loud that people came out of their homes in panic.
Given the situation, nearby schools were immediately closed and students who came were sent back, security was put on high alert in the city, while police and rescue vehicles reached the spot cordoned off the area and started an investigation.
