Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs/Pradhan Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, while addressing an emergency press conference at Lahore Press Club, strongly condemned the Indian drone attack on a holy place like Nankana Sahib and termed it a blatant violation of international laws, religious freedom and human rights.
Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari, prominent Sikh personalities Sardar Bishan Singh, Satwant Kaur, Sardar Jaskaran Singh, Kalyan Singh Kalyan and others were also present on the occasion.
Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that India is targeting mosques, holy places and minorities under a conspiracy to damage Pakistan’s peaceful image on the global stage. He clarified that the incident presented in Pahalgam is just a false and planned drama aimed at misleading the international community by making unsubstantiated allegations against Pakistan. He said that Pakistan’s relationship with the Sikh community is based on sincerity, love and devotion. On the occasion of the recent Baisakhi festival, Sikh pilgrims from all over the world praised Pakistan’s hospitality, love and religious tolerance.
Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora demanded that the United Nations and international human rights organizations take immediate notice of Indian aggression and hateful actions against minorities.
Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari said that the Indian media is currently spewing venom while the Pakistani media stands by its state and the Pakistani armed forces. He said that the doors of the Lahore Press Club are always open for religious minorities, especially the Sikh community.
