Peshawar: An agreement has been signed between the Provincial Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the University of Cambridge, under which teacher training, assessment and early childhood education will be promoted.
According to the details, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Provincial Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the University of Cambridge for the promotion of teacher training, assessment and early childhood education.
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has signed an important memorandum of understanding with the University of Cambridge, which aims to develop the fields of teacher training, student assessment, and early childhood education in the province on modern lines.
The MoU was signed by Provincial Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai, who is currently in London to attend the World Education Forum 2025. The MoU signing ceremony was held at the University of Cambridge, in the presence of Rod Smith, CCO of the University of Cambridge, Secretary of Education Masood Ahmed, and Education Advisor Mian Saaduddin.
Under the agreement, the University of Cambridge will provide technical assistance for the professional training of teachers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, modern assessment methods, and implementation of Early Childhood Education programs.
Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai said that we are committed to training our teachers according to modern requirements and assessing student performance according to international standards. This collaboration with the University of Cambridge will lead to innovation and improvement in the education system of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
