Islamabad: A meeting chaired by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has decided to register FIRs and cancel passports against people who have been deported from abroad and returned to Pakistan.
According to a statement by the Interior Ministry on Saturday, the meeting decided that the deported people will also be put on the passport control list for five years.
According to the statement, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Interior Secretary in the meeting to further tighten and improve passport laws.
According to the statement, Mohsin Naqvi said during this time that ‘deported people are causing embarrassment to Pakistan at the international level. No concessions will be made to them in the future.’
