Asia Cup 2025; Who will host the event instead of India? The event may be shifted to the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Lahore: India was supposed to host the Asia Cup this year, but due to the absence of the Indian team in the ICC Champions Trophy, Pakistan will now also play all its matches at neutral venues.
Apart from the Asia Cup, the important events also include the Women’s World Cup 2025 and the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 scheduled in India.
Reports have said that due to the recent tension between Pakistan and India, the event scheduled for September is likely to be shifted to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is expected to finalize the UAE as a neutral venue, but India will host the event.
The current edition of the Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format as part of preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament will be held over two weeks, with 19 matches scheduled.
