Karachi: Squash legend Jahangir Khan’s tireless work and efforts have finally paid off after a long wait of twenty years.
The Jahangir Khan Sports Club, equipped with the latest sports facilities, was inaugurated in Karachi. On this occasion, a squash reporting workshop was organized under the JK Sports Club and Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS).
The workshop was attended by SJAS members and senior journalists, as well as Pakistan Sports Writers Federation Secretary General Asghar Azeem. Squash coach Naveed Alam gave a lecture on the rules of the game, including scoring points.
The chief guest of the ceremony, Jahangir Khan, said that JK Sports Club is the fulfillment of my dreams. Every player who has the desire and ability to become a champion will get the facilities of JK Sports Club free of charge.
He said that the role of sports journalists in my success is unforgettable. The workshop on squash will be helpful and supportive for young sports journalists.
SJAS President Mahmood Riaz and Secretary Shahid Usman Sati thanked JK Club for organizing the workshop. SJAS presented Jahangir Khan with a bouquet, ajrak and a cap along with a commemorative shield.
