Pakpattan: After the death of 20 children in the children’s ward at the district headquarters, the Chief Secretary reached Pakpattan, after hearing the news of the sudden visit to Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, the Additional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner reached the hospital and inspected the cleanliness and sanitation in various wards and the wards. The Chief Secretary will go straight to Lahore without visiting the Sahiwal hospitals, while Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood visited Sahiwal Teaching Hospital.
A detailed review of the treatment facilities for newborns in the nursery ward was conducted. The height of cruelty was that three children were lying on each bed in the children’s ward. The affected parents have demanded that the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Chief Secretary make the children’s wards bigger. It should be remembered that last year, several children in the ward lost their lives due to a fire in the AC in the same ward.
