Sahiwal: Illegal use of LPG in dilapidated vehicles plying on various routes of Sahiwal Public Transport is on the rise. Civil Defense, RT Secretary, and Traffic Police are also involved, fear of a major accident due to their nexus. According to Malik Mehboob Alam, Chairman of the Civil Rights Association, and senior journalist Rana Saddam, illegal use of LPG gas cylinders in vehicles, especially private and commercial vehicles, is increasing across the city. This dangerous trend can cause a major accident at any time due to extreme heat, which threatens life and property. Employees of various government agencies are also involved in this illegal process, who are illegally refilling the cylinders in violation of government rules and regulations. According to the rules of the Sui Gas Department, the use of LPG in vehicles is strictly prohibited. Experts say that these cylinders are not made to withstand the shocks and high temperatures of vehicles.
