Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora returns home from UK and Italy visit, receives warm welcome

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Punjab, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora returned home after a successful visit to the UK and Italy. On his return, representatives of various religious minorities gave him a warm welcome at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and paid tribute to him for highlighting the positive image of Pakistan at the international level.
The welcoming delegation included Reverend Dr. Majeed Abel of Naulakha Presbyterian Church, Pastor Ashiq, Waseem Raja, Uqab Alam, Zaheer Babar and other minority leaders and workers.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that several important meetings were held with the Pakistani minority community, representatives of interfaith harmony and international organizations in UK and Italy, the effects of which will definitely be seen in the near future.
He said that the purpose of these visits was to promote the development, religious freedom, investment and educational links of Pakistani minorities at the international level. He stressed that the current government, especially under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, is rapidly promoting the protection of the rights of minorities, education, employment and representation opportunities. On this occasion, Reverend Dr. Majeed Abel said that it is a proud moment for minorities that our representatives have become effective voices at international forums. Minorities are feeling empowered under the leadership of Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora. He said that this visit not only proved to be helpful in presenting a positive image of Pakistani minorities at the international level, but also became a means of further highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to religious harmony and human equality among the nations of the world. During his visit, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora met parliamentary groups, the Sikh community and human rights organizations in the UK while attending the International Peace Conference in Italy and also delivered an effective speech on the role of minorities.
