Quetta: There has been an increase in incidents of blockades and burning of freight vehicles by banned armed groups on national highways in Balochistan. Apart from ordinary passengers, transporters and traders are worried about this situation.
The Truck Owners Association has suspended the supply of precious stones, iron, chromite and other minerals after continuous attacks.
Dozens of incidents of attacks, burning and damaging freight vehicles and trucks carrying minerals have taken place in Mastung, Bolan, Kalat, Noshki, Panjgur, Kech, Gwadar and other areas in the past few months.
Most of these incidents were claimed by banned Baloch armed groups.
