PTI expels 5 members of the National Assembly from the party, notification issued

Barrister Gauhar issued the names of the members of the National Assembly expelled from the party, along with the reasons, in the notification.

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) expelled 5 renegade members of the National Assembly from the party and also issued a formal notification.

Chairman PTI Barrister Gauhar issued a notification to expel the renegade members of the assembly from the party, according to which members of the National Assembly Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Zahoor Elahi, Usman Ali, Mubarak Zeb and Ilyas Chaudhry have been expelled from the PTI.

Regarding the expulsion of the members of the National Assembly from the party, it was said that the said members violated the party instructions to support the 26th Constitutional Amendment, while the party meeting had unanimously decided to oppose the amendment.

The notification said that the defected members voted in favor of the amendment on October 21, 2024, and a serious breach of party loyalty and oath was committed.
