Lahore: Negotiations between the Punjab government and the opposition were successful. The meeting of the negotiation committee, consisting of government and opposition members, regarding the suspension of 26 opposition members from the Punjab Assembly has ended. It was decided to reinstate the 26 suspended members, while the reinstatement of the members will be announced by Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan through a rolling.
The third meeting of the negotiation committee consisting of government and opposition members regarding the suspension of 26 opposition members from the Punjab Assembly has ended.
Negotiations between the government and the opposition were successful. In the meeting, it was decided to reinstate the 26 suspended opposition members. The reinstatement of the members will be announced by Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan through a rolling.
The Speaker of the Punjab Assembly attended the meeting of the negotiation committee through audio link, while opposition leaders Ahmed Khan Bhachar and Moin Qureshi also attended the meeting. In addition, parliamentary leader Ali Imtiaz Warraich, Chief Whip Rana Shahbaz, government members Iftikhar Chhichhar, Shoaib Siddiqui, and Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman also attended the meeting.
